A Mesmerizing Place — Another Icelandic Haiku

of frigid movements
intoxicating landscapes —
crash into another world

This haiku was challenging because being at this glacier, I was filled with a multitude of emotions — in awe of the beauty, worried about an accident, curious as to how high our small group would make it, and hungry (our lunch break was nearly two hours into our trek 🙄).
