Fantastic Results of My 30-Day Writing Challenge

On May 25th I embarked on a 30-day writing challenge. I would post one article per day. Of course, there are several factors to consider: [my] time management, subject(s), and whether to self-publish or submit to a Medium pub. On this last item, I needed to have a back plan because it was important to consider publication review time.

The results (since I used that first article announcing the launch of my self-challenge as Day 1) — I crafted 33 stories in 31 days.

Here’s what the breakdown looks like, by topic (from May 25 — June 24).

As a freelance social justice journalist, this one is always on my plate. The reality is whether it’s my spoken word poetry, community activism, or building cultural connections, I’m always in freedom fighter mode.
