I visited Northern Ireland in August 2018 and wondered about the whole 'divided country' conversation. I wish I had spent more than 3 days - gotten outside of Belfast.

Having only been to Ireland twice in my life, I remember being shocked when I learned they were under British rule for 800 years.

Here in Boriken - as I continue to unlearn colonial history myths (Columbus didn't discover anything!!!) - I'm also fascinated by the link between our liberation struggle and that of the Irish. See the documentary Filiberto.
