Is Medium’s Algorithm Hiding My Stories?
Here’s one way to find out

In this cover shot, George was a puppy — that’s according to the photographer’s Unsplash caption. To me, it appears he’s hiding; however, here’s what Marcus Wallis added —
George’s first photoshoot as a little puppy… here he is having a well earned rest after a playful session of catch!
Whether resting or hiding, the image is perfect for my brief article, which was originally meant to be called —
Hey, Medium — Where Did You Hide My Stories?
Before I get into it, let me say I’ve been away for several days. Almost a week. This is a long time in the virtual world where social media and the networks are battling for our attention.
Likely the algorithm has something to do with it.
So, I‘m going to self-promote a few of my stories I’m convinced my followers will enjoy. Certainly several will resonate with you.
Trauma Healing & Travel
Read about the 5,000 mile trip to my first (and still, only) permanent piece of body art. It weaves the road to healing from childhood sexual trauma with travel and starting to find self-love.
On Palestine [& Ireland]

Drum Roll For My Debut Poetry Book
The excitement in my heart can barely be contained. This is a huge deal for me — Daughter de Borikén has taken a year to publish, though it has been in the making since before my birth. Of this I remain convinced.
Tree Hugging in Lebanon
Here, the title is worth a million words. The first time I hugged a tree, I was in the Middle East. Experiencing the warmth of the Lebanese people and being in that forest filled with majestic beauties created memories I continue to treasure.
Jajom for your continued support.

Acknowledging the Arawak, the First Peoples of Borikén, on whose unceded lands my work is created. In gratitude for and in honor of our Elders, past, present, and emerging. May my work always unapologetically and boldly uplift our wondrous Indigenous Taíno, Iñeri, and African roots.
