Me encantó leerlo.

Brought to mind on my second (and only solo trip to Buenos Aires - as a tango dancer since 2006 - I've visited BsAs three times). I was in Palermo Soho and went to a restaurant, yo cenaba sola. I felt self conscious and from that point on I decided to bring a book to read when going to eat lunch, for example.

But what really worked wonders for me was exactly this - if I chose to dine at a restaurant (with only indoor seating), I'd hit the bar. I can't remember when I started doing that.

Sometimes at the hostels I stayed, I'd go out to eat with another person or a few of us from the hostel. Many times, I've grabbed a sandwich to go and eat at a park or other outdoor area. I have one memory of buying a balık ekmek (grilled fish sandwich ubiquitous in İstanbul).

The majority of my travels (35 countries so far) has been solo. As a caribeña woman it is a gift I am so grateful to have offered myself over & over & over.

Saludos desde nuestra joya Loíza, Borikén. 🌴
