Neither did I until I found yours. The imagery in your piece resonates with me, taking me back many years, growing up in NYC (esp. the 'walking in a blizzard,' 'slush boots' and 'cold wind'). But what hits me even deeper is the last verse. My interpretation is a personal one - the spirits, my soul and my ancestors because I left what I used to call home for nearly 53 years to return to my ancestral motherland.

Appreciate your poem (and btw, thanks for your guidance on my former submissions, I see where my confusion was).
