New York City + Chicago, Let’s Get Some Spoken Word On!

Those of you who have followed me for a minute know a few things about me: I am a fierce advocate for Puerto Rican independence, I only uplift my wondrous Indigenous Taino and Igneri, plus my vibrant African heritages and I live my life boldly, unapologetically!
And yes, I’m a spoken word artist.
Poetry is one way I use to confront the systems of oppression, like colonization, patriarchy, racism. For those of us who identify as Indigenous, Black and/or Brown — especially for us — la poesía is community and breath and a lifeline.
For us is poetry reminds us we belong and that our voices have always mattered.
It is because of all of the above, I am excited to announce I’ve been invited to bring my work to Chicago and to the place that birthed/shaped me into much of the person you are reading.
