Sometimes being blind is a choice. Like in the case of those who have colonized before - the same ones who have usurped land before - the ones who have taken what was never there's, but now preach to the world as if they were the original Peoples.

But even as I read what I have written, I know the sordid, horrific truth - none of these nations or people are blind. They scroll through their social media feeds, seeing the same atrocities the rest of us see. The difference is their greed and their thirst for 'power' is insatiable.

Palestine is not alone. There are millions of us clamoring and demanding for a permanent end to the genocide, for the lands to be returned, for the children to one day real soon only hear laughter in the streets. For us to help rebuild your country.

Tears stream down my face as I type these words. And I know they are nothing compared to all the loss and pain and suffering.
